In-house council adds new members and furthers market activities

Since officially launching in July 2021, the In-House Agency Council (IHAC) has grown to more than 25 members, including newly arrived brands Betfair, Bupa, Collingwood FC, Medicines Australia and  TTI Brands (Ryobi).

These join the founding members which included CUB, MYOB, Optus, Sportsbet and more.

IHAC chair Chris Maxwell said agency talent were looking for alternatives and “with the growth of in-house agencies”.

“This is a unique moment in the talent market where people are reassessing their priorities, flexibility, balance and growth opportunities, which are all important factors,” he said.

This month IHAC launched Australia’s first benchmarking study on martech for in-house agencies, which includes information on trends, tools and forecasts. Marketers and in-house agency personnel are encouraged to participate and anyone who completes the survey will receive a copy of the report.

The IHAC has also launched an online knowledge centre, where members can access best practices, learnings and insights from the industry.

IHAC will host a number of networking events exclusively for in-house agency leaders and talent in Sydney and Melbourne next week. There is no cost to attend but places will be limited.

The council recently hosted a roundtable discussion on The Great Resignation, and how in-house agencies can recruit and retain the best talent in this competitive recruitment market.
