iProspect promotes Marcelle Gomez to MD amid ‘dramatic growth’
Dentsu’s iProspect has promoted Marcelle Gomez to Sydney managing director, after the agency said it has almost doubled its staffing.
Gomez joined iProspect in 2020 as general manager after spending three years as a freelance consultant in media and marketing. Gomez was already leading the Sydney office, with the promotion reflecting her contribution to the office’s growth.

This came following six years across three IPG Mediabrands agencies, UM, Magna, and Initiative in a number of roles, finishing up as MD at the latter.
The agency said that her appointment comes off the back of a “dramatic growth spurt” for the Sydney office, growing its headcount from 29 to 55, following a number of local and global wins.
This includes wins for Beforepay, Shopify, Polestar and the global win for Kering, which owns luxury brands Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
CEO Oliver Rapson said: “Marcelle joined our team during iProspect’s period of transformation with our focus on accelerating brand growth and end to end capabilities. She provides energy, professionalism and a great depth of knowledge to tackle the challenges (and opportunities) ahead in the future. Her motivation has always been on taking iProspect Sydney to the success it is enjoying today and I’m thrilled to have her promoted to MD.”
Gomez added: “At iProspect we are building a future ready, digital first agency with a team to match. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved in 2021 and that momentum will continue this year as we share more announcements in the near future. This is a brilliant business and team with the energy, ambition and performance mindset to continue our growth trajectory.”
Gomez began her two decade career in media at Mitchells as a planner and buyer in Sydney.
In November, iProspect hired Paul Murphy from Cummins & Partners as its new Melbourne managing director. His appointment followed shortly after CEO Kirsty Muddle also joined Dentsu from Cummins & Partners. Muddle officially started her role yesterday.
