Waterfront opens in Melbourne

Waterfront Entertainment Marketing has opened an office in Melbourne – following the appointment of Jane Chisholm to the role of senior account director.

The announcement:

Jane Chisholm has joined Waterfront Entertainment Marketing as senior account director in Melbourne. The moves sees Waterfront, already one of Australia’s most prominent entertainment marketing specialists, open an office in Melbourne to accelerate its business expansion.

Waterfront Entertainment Marketing (http://www.wfeg.com.au/) clients include Optus, LG, Federal Government, Visa and Supre.

“With an increasing stream of marketing dollars moving away from traditional media and overly-cluttered environments like sport, clients are leveraging their brands more effectively in entertainment sponsorships,” said Waterfront director Sean Pickwell. “Jane is a highly respected, well-known operator and very experienced in entertainment marketing. She will greatly assist our expansion plans for Melbourne.”

Chisholm has an extensive and entrepreneurial background, having worked for Australia’s best-known publishing companies and with major entertainment festivals and community arts.

“I was attracted to Waterfront because the company skilfully combines entertainment and marketing, two of my favourite interests,” said Chisholm. “My job is to reveal the high effectiveness and ROI of entertainment marketing to Melbourne clients.”

Chisholm was the first female to graduate with a degree in commercial photography at RMIT in 1981. She has been involved in the launches of Harper’s Bazaar, Good Weekend, Who Weekly and InStyle in Australia, working with ACP, FPC, News Limited, Fairfax and Time Inc.

Chisholm has also taken the small Apollo Bay Music Festival to three sell-out successes and two Helpmann nominations and she has worked on many fashion festivals. Her work in community arts expanded her network and led to an ABC documentary.
