Jaywing Australia makes three redundancies

Data-science agency Jaywing has made three redundancies, Mumbrella can reveal. Jaywing would not disclose the names of those affected, but Mumbrella understands a number of the roles were senior.

“We have recently restructured our business to meet the changing shape of the services our clients require and the market demands,” Tom Geekie, Jaywing’s managing director, said in a statement.

“Unfortunately, this has resulted in the redundancy of three roles to bring our resources in line with the services we provide today.

“We are still recruiting with a number of roles available, though unfortunately were unable to find suitable roles for the individuals affected. Our underlying business performance is strong and we continue to grow.”

Managing directors, Jaywing Australia (L-R): Tom Geekie and Chris Pittham

Jaywing Australia was formed in 2016, when Digital Massive was acquired by UK-based parent company Jaywing. The business subsequently merged with Jaywing’s existing APAC business, Epiphany Australia.

Digital Massive was re-branded as Jaywing in March 2017, with Geekie and Chris Pittham appointed joint managing directors.

In early 2018, Jaywing acquired digital agency Frank Digital.

The business offers search engine optimisation, pay per click advertising, programmatic advertising, analytics, design and web development.
