Jens Monsees and Mick Fanning join Mumbrella360: Reconnected as the full program is announced

WPP AUNZ CEO and managing director, Jens Monsees, will speak at Mumbrella 360: Reconnected while three-time surfing world champion, Mick Fanning, has also confirmed his participation in a panel at the virtual conference.

Monsees will speak in a fireside chat with Mumbrella’s head of content, Damian Francis, discussing his first year in one of the most high-profile roles in the Australian media and marketing industry.

Since joining the business from automotive manufacturer BMW in Germany, Monsees has led substantial change across WPP AUNZ including mergers, acquisitions and structural changes. He has also guided the business through the challenges of a global pandemic to a point where, in August, he announced the return to full pay and capacity following profitable months in June and July.

Three time world surfing champion Mick Fanning joins the program

Meanwhile, Fanning will join the panel exploring how branded entertainment found its purpose, which will be moderated by M&C Saatchi CEO for Australia and New Zealand, Justin Graham.

Fanning and Graham will be joined by Michael Lawrence, founder of THIS Film Studio, Tahyna MacManus, managing director of NeonJane Productions and Kate Munnings, group CEO of Virtus Health.

The panel will draw from the experience of making documentary series Save This Rhino, Save This Shark and more to illustrate how best to use branded content in a meaningful and effective way.

A number of additional sessions have also been added to the program which will officially feature 48 sessions across four days from November 17-20.

These include sessions featuring Justin Papps, Partner, CMO Advisory at PwC, Sudeep Gohil, Partner, Customer, Brand and Marketing Advisory at KPMG, Kath Blackham, founder of VERSA, Jules Hall CEO at The Hallway, Julia Vargiu, director, Australia at SI Partners Global and more.
