Jetstar capitalises on AUNZ travel bubble via outdoor execution

Jetstar has placed giant coupons at some of Australia and New Zealand’s most popular tourism destinations as it aims to capitalise on the recent travel bubble.

The initiative comes from Thinkerbell in its first work for the budget airline.

The artwork spruiking ‘Available for a limited time only’ is showcasing the holiday destinations that are currently on sale with the airline. Artists have already begun using beaches, rooftops and carparks as the mediums for the coupon artwork.

The campaign is rolling out in the outdoor format, as well as on social and in video.

Tom Wenborn, executive creative tinker at Thinkerbell, said: “Australia and New Zealand truly are the lucky countries, and right now we have both sides of the Tasman to ourselves to explore. We’ve loved helping to highlight some of Australia and New Zealand’s favourite destinations in a uniquely Jetstar way.”

The campaign comes as the trans-Tasman travel bubble has come into effect, which has also triggered activity from Tourism Australia, Tourism New Zealand, Qantas and Air New Zealand.
