New Mumbrella360 sessions: selling your agency, getting a seat at the table and the decade ahead for marketers

More Mumbrella360: Reimagined sessions have been added with industry heavyweights including Colonial First State head of marketing, Nicole Mathias Browne, Lens10 CEO Michelle McGrath, Yefira CEO George Kypraios, Fiftyfive5 director Hannah Krijnen and more to join the line up of talent at the conference.

In period of significant mergers and acquisitions, Von Muenster Legal partner Stephen von Muenster will lead a session on lessons from the frontline of agency mergers and acquisitions.

Joining him will be George Kypraio, CEO of Yefira Group, Matt Kain, VP and APAC Regional Head of Digital for Infosys Digital, Laura Aldington, CEO of Host/Havas, Nick Mercer, founder of The Silver Fox Partnership and formerly of Mercer Bell, Michelle McGrath, co-founder and CEO of Lens10, now a MightyHive Company, and Chris Savage of the Savage Company, who will moderate proceedings.

The session will dive into valuable real-life lessons learnt from these leaders who have navigated agency sale journeys in various ways. They’ll share the critical imperatives to making a sale and earn-out successful, the traps to watch out for, and what they’d do differently.

Meanwhile, Colonial First State’s Browne will share her experience, in using the challenges of the past year, to create an opportunity for marketers to get a seat at the table.

Browne

In her Masterclass, she will assert that despite the immense value of marketing, the function has long had varying levels of importance in business. She will share with delegates how to turn the tables and strengthen marketing’s position within a business.

On a similar note, Shadowboxer’s Stephen Graham and Steven McGrath will discuss how marketers can win in the boardroom using lessons from start-ups.

The pair will illustrate how marketing is happening in businesses even when there’s no official marketing department, and that marketers of all types can benefit from the lessons that come from the businesses where this is the case.

They will also provide a list of strategies any marketer can apply to build credibility with boards, c-suite, investors and clients.

Meanwhile, Powered by Nine are the first to be confirmed on the Media Mixer stage, with a session on how a decade of disruption (the 2020s) can be turned into one full of possibilities.

Krijnen

Director of strategy, insights and effectiveness, Toby Boon, will be joined by Fiftyfive5’s Krijnen to share insights from a study that will review previous trends from 2020- 2021, overlaying new and emerging trends resulting from the impacts of the pandemic.

It will also explore how COVID-19 will shape the next decade for business as well as regular Australians and help steer the direction for Australian brands across a vast range of categories.

Set to take place across multiple venues in Sydney’s CBD between 13-15 July, Mumbrella360: Reimagined now has almost 30 sessions confirmed with many more to come. Earlybird tickets are on sale now.
