Insights Analyst – Defence Force Recruiting

About this role

The Insights Analyst reports into the Strategy and Intelligence Manager within the Attraction team and is responsible for consulting and recommending areas of improvement through DFR’s Attraction team including optimising and enhancing the customer journey, developing deep understanding of the prospect/candidate experience, identify and define solutions for Attraction business problems.

The Insights Analyst is also responsible for identifying strategic opportunities and providing additional data, digital and marketing expertise across a diverse range of business areas. Another key responsibility includes conducting and utilising research insights drawn from both qualitative and quantitative data sources to provide informed recommendations to DFR to assist positioning and promoting the ADF as an employer of choice.

The role will include:

-Creation and visualisation of data dashboards and visual reporting tools to illustrate performance data
-Extracting and manipulating data from multiple disparate sources to provide digital and marketing teams with key insights to steer quality strategies
-Production and delivery of regular reports for various business stakeholder audiences including information partners
-Manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Google Analytics Premium
-Act as Google Analytics Administrator and point of contact for Creative Advertising and Media agencies
-Work closely with Market Research and Strategic Insights Manager to ensure seamless data insights integration across Attraction teams
-Utilising data from multiple sources to provide Attraction teams with key insights to steer quality strategies, along with providing consultation and data analysis to Attraction teams to optimise activities including paid media, events, creative performance, and digital platforms
-Develop and provide guidance on measurement plans
-Ability to create a shared understanding and vision using appropriate techniques such as workshops, story maps and other visual tools.

What we are looking for:

-Previous experience as an Insights Analyst (or similar) conducting business analysis and developing strategic solutions for a large organisation or government agency.
-Passionate about creating great customer and user experiences.
-Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and managing client relationships along with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
-Experience with working in cross-functional teams and co-facilitating agile delivery of solutions.
-Proven skills using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, SQL) to uncover insights.
-Ability to provide recommendations on opportunities based around innovative and dynamic customer experience solutions.
-Project management experience in a Marketing, Advertising or Digital analysis role

Essential:

-Australian Citizenship
-3-5 years experience within Business or similar Analysis role, Marketing, -Advertising or Digital landscapes
-Be eligible to obtain and hold a Security Clearance
