Jonesy and Amanda show goes national on ARN’s Pure Gold Network

Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller’s ‘Jonesy and Amanda’ Sydney breakfast program will be syndicated across the Pure Gold Network at 6pm on weekdays from next week.

The duo currently occupy the breakfast show on Sydneys WS FM, with a 9.1% share in the most recent radio ratings survey, behind 2GB’s 17.9%, ABC Sydney’s 10.9%, and Australian Radio Network (ARN) stablemate Kiis’ 10.2%.

A highlights package of the show currently plays at 6am on Sundays on Melbourne’s Pure Gold.

The new show, JAM Nation will play on Sydney’s WS FM, Melbourne’s Gold, Brisbane’s 4KQ and Adelaide’s Cruise 1323.

ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell said the duo is up there among Australia’s most-loved radio talent.

“Jonesy and Amanda have unquestionable chemistry, a genuine friendship and sense of humour that we know our Pure Gold audience loves. Their unique ability to balance humour and wit with personal and heart-felt stories that resonate and connect with listeners is what makes them some of Australia’s most-loved radio talent with fans across the country. This new show is part of ARN’s ongoing strategy to remain the number one national network by providing engaging content and entertainment for our audiences,” he said.

And chief commercial officer Pete Whitehead said the elevation of the show would strengthen ARN’s commercial offering.

“This night show extends Jonesy and Amanda’s reach and strengthens ARN’s complete commercial offering for clients across our broadcast and digital assets on the Pure Gold Network. Jonesy and Amanda are loved by audiences and their ability to create engaging content for integrated campaigns that connects with their listeners and delivers results for clients make them an important part of ARN’s commercial strategy,” he said.

Keller and Jones both spruiked the fun nature of the show.

“It’s a huge privilege and a joy to be able to do our radio show every day to share laughs, silliness and the occasional teary blub with our fabulous audience, and I am really excited that we are being unleashed on the Pure Gold Network. Get ready everyone, it’s going to be fun,” Keller said.

While Jones added: “The only thing that could be better than doing a radio show with Amanda every morning is knowing that our antics can now also be heard at night. I can’t wait to get on her nerves in front of an even bigger audience, it’s going to be a blast.”

ARN has also recently given a national platform to Melbourne breakfast host Christian O’Connell. His syndicated highlights show runs from 7pm on Sydney’s WS FM, Brisbane’s 97.3 FM, Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 and Perth’s 96 FM.
