Julian Delany promoted to managing director of News DNA

Managing director of and Kidspot, Julian Delany, has expanded his remit, taking on the role of managing director of News Corp’s News Digital Networks Australia (News DNA).

In his new role, Delany will be responsible for all of the company’s mastheads, regionals, communities and other digital properties.

Nicole Sheffield, chief digital officer at News DNA said the division needed a leader to move ahead.

“I’m very pleased to announce that Julian Delany has been appointed managing director of News DNA. With his track record of delivering category leading sites such as I know the growth of News DNA is in very good hands.”

Delaney joined News Corp in 2012 as general manager for, before being promoted to the role of managing director of the brand, and NewsLifeMedia’s digital strategy in 2015.

Prior to News, Delany spent 10 years with Foxtel’s The Weather Channel.

He said he would assist in the “next stage” of News DNA – building the framework of operations across product, production, digital marketing, integrated sales and content.

“News DNA is in the business of attracting the most connected audience in every segment we focus on to create valuable and defined networks. We’re committed to maintaining our pace of digital innovation which connects our consumers and our commercial partners with new opportunities on brands that lead their fields in both reach and engagement metrics,” Delany said.
