Kate McClymont picks up five nominations at the Kennedy Awards

Kate McclymontSydney Morning Herald investigative journalist Kate McClymont ledadsthe Kennedy Awards nominations picking up five nominations last night.

Many of McClymont’s nominations related to her coverage of the recent NSW ICAC inquiry involving Ian MacDonald, Eddie Obeid and mining in Bylong Valley.

The nominations for the Kennedy Awards for Excellence in New South Wales Journalism were chosen by a panel of 35 judges, led by John Hartigan and Peter Meakin.

Now in its second year there were more than 450 entries for the awards, which recognise the legacy of crime reporter Les Kennedy.
