Kennards Hire completes ‘any job, small to big’ in 70th birthday celebration

Kennards Hire has celebrated its 70th birthday by launching a ‘From Small to Big’ campaign.

Created by Bashful, the ad shows men completing small jobs and large jobs whilst telling the story of how Kennards Hire was started by “just one bloke”.

The ad continues to tell the story of how the company was founded in Bathurst in 1948.

Tim Chenery, creative director at Bashful, said in a statement: “Our approach was to tell a simple story. Just one bloke telling another bloke a few things about Kennards Hire as they walk across a work site. We then had some fun with the visuals to do the rest of the storytelling, and add a little humour.”

Manelle Merhi, head of marketing at Kennards Hire, said: “When Walter Kennard was asked by a customer if they could borrow a concrete mixer rather than buy one, Wally said, “I won’t lend it to you, but you can hire it” and the rest is history.”
