Kids rap about sport in Cricket Australia’s ‘Join the Fun’ campaign

Cricket Australia has launched a campaign which encourages kids across Australia to to ‘Join the Fun’ and get involved with the sport.

The ad, created by Cornwell, features young boys and girls rapping about the sport while playing cricket.

The rap was created in collaboration with beat producer and ARIA nominated artist Chris Hamer-Smith.

The campaign aims to highlight the values and camaraderie children learn from playing cricket.

In partnership with Woolworths, ‘Join the Fun’ seeks to promote Woolworths Cricket Blast junior program and capture the notion of kids being kids.

The campaign will run on TV, outdoor, radio, digital and in store.

Anthony Everard, general manager of events and leagues at Cricket Australia, said in a statement: “I am very excited about the roll out of this youthful and fun campaign to promote the highly anticipated Woolworths Cricket Blast program.

“The campaign helps to show all of the positive aspects of getting involved in our great sport to kids and has also been designed to be as useful as possible to the many people working within grassroots cricket to attract and encourage the next generation of players and fans.”
