Lachlan Jones replaces Martin Patton as GM of Foundation

Lachlan Jones FoundationLachlan Jones has been promoted to general manager of Omnicom’s media agency Foundation following the departure of Martin Patton.

Jones was previously client service director with the agency, which is a sister agency to PHD.

“Lachlan’s promotion follows the announcement that Martin Patton has moved on from his role as lead of Foundation,” said Mark Coad, CEO of PHD Group Australia.

Yesterday independent media agency Razor announced Patton would move across to take the role of executive director of the business.

PHD CEO Mark Coad said there was no ill-will about the move. “Martin has done an excellent job as he has dedicated the last 12 years to building Foundation to a strong and reputable business,” said Coad.

“His decision to take a senior role at Razor has been received with our blessing, and our thanks.  One of Martin’s legacies has been the development of a very strong team, and strong succession plan.  Lachlan is an extremely capable and well experienced executive who will continue to lead Foundation to further growth.”

Jones begins the role with immediate effect, and will report to Coad.

Jones joined Foundation – originally known as Davinici-Selectwork – in2006 after two years at MPG. He has also worked at Optimedia, Zenith, The Media Edge and DDB.
