Laurie Oakes and Sportsbet duel in #tiegate
Australians are famous for their willingness to bet on anything but it’s fair to say one of the most interesting election markets last night turned out to be the colour of Laurie Oakes’ tie.
Sportsbet had been offering odds on veteran political reporter’s fashion choice but wasn’t expecting him to troll them in an epic way…
Oakes began the night with a red tie:

Oakes brilliant takedown of the betting agency forced Sportsbet to surrender and pay out on all bets to the sum of some $3000.
