One of the leading disruptors of banking globally, Anthony Thomson, will speak at Mumbrella360 in Sydney next year.

Thomson, who founded both Metro Bank and Atom Bank in the UK, has now turned his attention to Australia and is chairman of neobank 86 400. He will be joined by 86 400’s chief product and marketing officer, Travis Tyler, on stage.
Also confirmed to speak is Samsung Australia’s CMO, Josh Grace, and Kraft Heinz Australia CMO, Shalabh Atray, while Microsoft’s head of evangelism for search, US-based Christi Olson, will return to speak at Mumbrella360 after addressing a packed house at this year’s event.

Mumbrella360 will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney from June 4-6, with a half day of speed networking to kick off proceedings before two full days of sessions. It is Australia’s largest audited media and marketing summit, with super earlybird tickets on sale now.

Currently UK-based before relocating to Australia next year, Thomson is one of the most forward-thinking finance industry leaders globally. Aside from co-founding both Atom Bank and Metro Bank, he’s raised in excess of $1billion in capital over the course of his career and is now focusing his efforts on Australia.

At Mumbrella360 he will take the stage with Tyler, former GM of consumer digital at Westpac, to discuss the new era of banking in Australia, disrupting an ultra-traditional industry and how they are selling their vision to people after a year that has well and truly shaken the banking sector to its core.

Grace will lay down the principles of Samsung Australia’s marketing strategy
Grace, the former MD of Leo Burnett – Singapore, took the lead marketing role at Samsung Australia in March this year. At Mumbrella360 he will explain how the brand is refocusing its marketing to the motto, ‘Do what you can’t’, and the principles it has put in place to ensure that marketing activity is able to positively impact the bottom line.
The session will take a practical look at how to create a long-term, future-focused, vision for a team while continuing to achieve immediate sales targets. Grace will assert that taking an inward view first and getting the basics right is key to this.

Atray will reveal the ‘magic’ that goes into Kraft Heinz marketing
Meanwhile, Kraft Heinz CMO, Atray, will address emotion, heart and magic in a session that focuses on the mantra of building successful brands.
Atray believes that brands need to tap into human truth and understand what is in the hearts of consumers in order to create an emotional connection. In the session, he will discuss the balance of logic and magic and how the brands within the Kraft Heinz family look to achieve the right mix to appeal to their target audience on a deeper level.

You could join these industry leaders on stage at Mumbrella360. The conference accepts and actively encourages session submissions from the industry. Each year Mumbrella receives hundreds of submissions, with the best making it through to be part of the three-day conference that features up to six streams of content.
Successful submissions will be given a session slot to bring their idea to life and will also receive 40 complimentary session passes to invite clients and colleagues to come and view their presentation.
