Leigh Sales’ interview with PM on 7.30 draws in 509k metro

ABC’s 7.30 episode last night, which saw outgoing host Leigh Sales interview Prime Minister Scott Morrison, drew in 509,000 metro viewers.

On appearing on 7.30 during the upcoming – and not yet announced – federal election, Morrison stated: “we’ll make ourselves available to the ABC and all the networks” for interviews, which can be viewed below.

Meanwhile, Nine News 6.30 topped all three key demographics (16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54).

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 29 March, last week’s Tuesday episode of MAFS had 1.960 million total TV viewers, including 476,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 42%. The episode also had the highest uplift.

Back to last night, in entertainment programming, Seven’s The Chase Australia came first with 570,000 metro viewers. Next was Ten’s episode of The Dog House Australia with 550,000 metro viewers. Seven’s Home and Away followed with 482,000 metro viewers.

Topping all programming was Seven News with 966,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 910,000 metro viewers. Nine News 6.30 came next with 889,000 metro viewers, then Nine News with 880,000 metro viewers. ABC News followed with 651,000 metro viewers.

Nine had the largest network share with 28.2%, followed by Seven with 26.3%. Ten had 19.3%, then ABC with 17.4%.
