LG consolidates into Ogilvy PR agency

Burson-Marsteller, the WPP-owned agency, has lost the LG Electronics account to sister agency Pulse Communications, part of Ogilvy PR.

Australia is the latest market to appoint Ogilvy PR, branded as LG One, following a review of the business in other parts of the world.

In the US, Europe and parts of Asia, WPP agencies Ogilvy PR and Hill & Knowlton were appointed lead agencies, creating a team called LG One to service LG Electronics.

In Australia, LG One – serviced by Pulse Communications staffers – takes over from Burson-Marsteller from February next year.

Earlier this year, LG faced a PR nightmare after its customers failed to receive free weekend trips they had been promised as part of a promotion.
