LIDA opens data consultancy Magic Beans

M&C Saatchi Group’s customer experience agency, LIDA, has launched a data consultancy called Magic Beans.

Lucy Acheson, currently the head of data at LIDA, will run Magic Beans with the aim of combining data science and marketing.

Acheson said in a statement: “Our industry is absolutely drowning in data, but marketers are struggling to get their hands-on insights. Magic Beans’ super power is that we are marketers and analysts combined. We mix data and creativity.

“We see the magic in raw data. We’re agile, accessible, multi-disciplined and dedicated to cracking any business problem. Most importantly, we humanise data in a way that makes sense for your business.”

Acheson joined LIDA as head of data strategy and customer experience in 2015 from her previous stint as head of data at DDB.

Magic Beans is already working with clients including Commonwealth Bank, Dan Murphy’s and APM.

The new data consultancy has offerings including data visualisation, data processing, data science and MarTech consultancy.

Other employees include Melinda Lofts, Stephen Mesa, Matt Lam and Shiv Ananthan.
