Logies and The Voice take Nine to ratings win despite smaller audiences than last year

Nine dominated the TV ratings on Sunday night but the series debut of The Voice was down on last year’s opening, while the Logies delivered its lowest audience since the current ratings system began.

The Voice averaged an audience of 1.828m, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTAM, making it top show of the night. However, it was behind last year’s debut of 2.177m.

The Logies – which ran until well after midnight – averaged 1.093m, seventh biggest show of Sunday. This was behind last year’s 1.379m and the fourth year in a row to have seen an audience decline. The high spot came in 2001 with an audience of 2.409m.
