Mamamia appoints Howard Wilbury as head of partnerships
Mamamia has expanded its commercial team with the appointment of Howard Wilbury, who will lead the website’s premium partner division, M+.
Wilbury was previously M&C Saatchi’s managing director of retail, a role he had held since June 2015. He has a background in adland and retail, with a career spanning DDB, Momentum and Westfield.
“Howard is the perfect fit for Mamamia, and matching our high value partners with access to our proprietary content, social, creative and marketing IP,” said Tony Prentice, chief revenue and operations officer at Mamamia.
“With his unique mix of commercial and advertising agency experience, Howard will make M+ the home of innovation and ROI for clients who want to reach Australia’s largest and most influential female audience.”
Mamamia co-founder and chief creative officer, Mia Freedma, described Wilbury as a “delightful person” with a “depth and breadth of commercial experience.”
“I can’t wait for him to join us,” she added.
Prentice joined Mamamia as chief revenue and operations officer in September this year. Before that, he had been working as a director of his own consultancy, Prentice and Partners for the last six years, and was previously chief commercial officer at News Corp.
