Match Media appointed to Mind Candy

Media agency Match Media has been appointed by UK social multi-player games company Mind Candy to handle media buying and planning of online game Moshi Monsters.

The announcement:

“MATCH MEDIA APPOINTED TO HANDLE MEDIA FOR UK GAMES DEVELOPER’S LAUNCH INTO AUSTRALIA”

Sydney 8 November, 2011:  Match Media has been appointed to handle media planning and buying for UK company, Mind Candy, without a pitch.  Billings for the account are undisclosed.

Mind Candy were looking for an agency that had experience in dealing with UK based clients and could provide the service and specialization they were looking for.  This appointment came through a recommendation from another Match UK client, Bethesda.

Mind Candy is one of the world’s leading developers of social multi-player games, helping kids around the world play and connect.  Match Media has been tasked with handling all planning and buying for Mind Candy’s two-year old online game, Moshi Monsters.

Moshi Monsters is a social online game/community that allows kids 6 to 12 to adopt virtual pets, move around a virtual land called Monstro City, play games to earn virtual currency and communicate with other kids in a moderated, safe environment.  To date Moshi Monsters has more than 50 million registered users.
