Matt Barbelli launches new digital agency after Frank Digital departure

Frank Digital founder Matt Barbelli has taken his new digital agency Wonderful to market, after departing the former in January 2022, following its 2018 acquisition by Jaywing.

The hybrid agency and consultancy model will combine design, technology and performance marketing to offer data-driven research and insights, experience design, paid media, search, social, eCommerce and digital-first band solutions.

L-R: Matt Barbelli, Vaughan Moffitt and Nick Miers.

The agency was launched in mid 2022, and has already commenced worked with precious metals services group Pallion Group and its subsidiaries, as well as online auction house Luxebid, and retail chain Gregory Jewellers. Projects undertaken so far include digital transformation, UX and UI design, digital first branding and platform development and full go to market strategies.

Barbelli said the agency would pair “specialist expertise” and “strategic thinking” to scale businesses across the digital ecosystem.

Joining the agency alongside Barbelli is former Deloitte Digital lead designer Vaughan Moffitt, and Nick Miers, who previously worked as Frank Digital’s head of delivery.

Barbelli added: “We’ve developed our service offering to reflect today’s digital economy. We want to diverge how client’s think about performance marketing to focus it through a lens of high-performance creativity backed by insights and data.

“While we are headquartered in Sydney, our growing team of specialists are from around the world and having a global studio opens our doors to international talent, giving us a better understanding of the broader world our clients operate in. I’m also delighted to have someone of Vaughan’s calibre at Wonderful. He is a proven product and experience design leader that works with brands to reshape and transform how they connect and engage with audiences.”
