The announcement:

Award-winning creative sports marketing agency MATTA has opened an office in Sydney, Australia. MATTA veteran Dulcie Davies has been appointed marketing director, Australia and will lead the development of the business in the region.

This expansion allows MATTA to service its growing global client roster, which includes tennis and cricket giants the ATP and the ICC amongst others such as Movember from the wellbeing sector.

MATTA has built its reputation since its inception in 2015 as an agency offering brand strategy, brand building and creative campaigns and content for the sports, fitness and wellbeing organisations and brands.

Tom Allwood, MATTA Global Ltd, managing director, said, “Taking the business to Australia and the APAC market is a hugely exciting move for MATTA and I’m delighted that Dulcie will be carrying the torch. Since joining MATTA in 2017 she’s been an integral part of the business, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.”

Dulcie Davies, marketing director, MATTA Global Ltd. said, “Sport is woven into the fabric of Australian life. Being the global sporting hotspot that it is, we know there’s an opportunity for MATTA to bring its experience to the market, in particular its work within women’s sport; notably in football, cricket, rugby, netball, golf. My diary is already filling up, so we are off to a good start!”

MATTA has won numerous peer reviewed awards since it was formed, including ‘Campaign of the Year 2023’ for its ‘Ashes, Two Ashes’ campaign in cricket, which brought gender parity from a marketing perspective to the historic series, alongside awards for its work around UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 and the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2023.

The announcement coincides with the ICC’s ‘Out of This World’ campaign for the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024, co-hosted by the USA and West Indies. The latest work with the ICC follows the tournament’s rebrand, which will run for the next 4 years across the men’s and women’s tournaments.

This new office addition is part of wider ambition within MATTA Global Ltd. to bring its purpose and services to new territories over the next few years.
