Maxted Thomas PR wins Burt’s Bees

Personal care brand Burt’s Bees has appointed Maxted Thomas PR to handle its public relations.

Burt’s Bees today announced the appointment of boutique beauty and lifestyle agency, Maxted Thomas PR, to lead its integrated PR and social media program.

Maxted Thomas PR will now roll out a multi-faceted strategy combining publicity, product launches and events, experiential campaigns, social media and interactive online engagement to support the natural skincare company’s extensive product range.

Burt’s Bees Marketing Manager, Emma Sykes says: “We are so pleased to announce our partnership with Maxted Thomas PR. Our brief demanded an approach which went beyond traditional PR activity to include new media and innovative online consumer engagement. While Maxted Thomas is renowned for its in-depth knowledge of both the trade and consumer beauty, they demonstrated an exciting approach to new media which we are confident will generate exciting and engaging interaction with our rapidly growing fan base.”

Launched in Australia in 2007, Burt’s Bees manufactures and markets a range of natural personal care products using quality production, the utmost ethical standards and best practice sustainability measures. Initially known as a ‘lip brand,’ the product range has evolved to a full suite of face, body and hair ranges for women with selected ranges for men and babies.

Leading the Maxted Thomas PR team is Managing Director, Ian Thomas alongside Account Director, Anna Coates, Account Manager, Melissa Welsh and Account Executive, Tahira Curtis.
