M&C Saatchi announces 3 key promotions within its strategy team

M&C Saatchi’s Sydney office has announced three key promotions.

Melinda Lofts has been promoted from CX strategy lead to head of CX strategy and Emma Parsons from freelancing as head of content, to a permanent role as head of content. While Nick Jacobs will be joining Rachael Fraser as co-heads of integrated strategy.

M&C Saatchi’s strategy team

Lofts has been at M&C Saatchi since 2018.

On her appointment, Lofts said: “I am privileged to work with such a talented team on some of Australia’s leading brands. Covid has changed the landscape and, with it, magnified the importance of Brand and CX alignment. There is so much potential and I am really excited about working with our clients to help solve real customer and business challenges.”

Parsons joined M&C Saatchi in February 2020.

Parsons said: “I’ve had an incredible year at M&C. The opportunity to work on brands that shape Australian culture, and to do it surrounded by the best in the business, has been humbling and inspiring. I’m so excited to step into this role to continue championing social and content, because I truly believe in the power it holds for our clients.”

Jacobs will be joining Fraser as head of integrated strategy. They will be sharing the role. Jacobs has been at M&C Saatchi since January 2019.

Jacobs said: “It has been an amazing couple of years at M&C. The planning family is a brilliant group of customer obsessives, who bring to bear an increasing breadth of thinking to our clients’ challenges. Working together with Rach and the team in this new role is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Emily Taylor, chief strategy officer at M&C Saatchi Group, said: “2021 has already proven to be a brilliant year for the Group and these promotions are testament to the growth and direction of our business. I feel very lucky to have such talent around me. What we can do together, when we bring this diversity of thought to play on our clients’ brands and business challenges is truly exciting.”

The announcement follows the promotion of James Collier to chief data officer a few weeks ago, and three new appointments in M&C Saatchi’s Melbourne office.
