The Australian boss of programmatic player Mediamath Stuart Bartram is departing the company, Mumbrella can reveal.

Bartram has been the boss of the demand-side platform (DSPs) for the past 18 months and previously held senior local roles at Rubicon, LinkedIn and as Regional APAC vice president of marketing cloud at Sales Force.

Mediamath recently lost one of its biggest clients, media agency Bohemia, which last week announced it was moving over to rival AppNexus.

His departure is just one of a number of senior changes in the top ranks of major programmatic players in Australia, as the sector comes under growing pressure to deliver returns from venture capital fund investors.

Supply-side platform SpotX saw a major shake-up in its senior ranks last year  and earlier this year video advertising platform Innovid hired ad management service Sizmek’s regional boss, Carolyn Bollaci.

At last week’s Programmatic Summit in Sydney, Asia-Pacific boss of AppNexus declared the boom in advertising technology is over and warned that local Australian operations could face an “ad-apocalypse” as tech vendors consolidate.

Mediamath declined to comment but confirmed it was looking for a replacement.
