The announcement:

Friday 9th December, 2011 – The January 2012 issue of Australian Men’s Health hits newsstands today, featuring a dramatic new look, including new sections, beefed-up content and a unique new cover design.

Benefiting from the introduction of new fonts, a punchier colour palette and improved style sheets, the redesign manages to balance sophistication with an energetic contemporary feel reflecting the magazine’s lively, informative content.

The new-look Men’s Health features three new sections – Alert!, Personal Best and Coach+ – plus a new event planner and 30 per cent more fitness and food content in each issue.

Men’s Health editor Ian Cockerill says the redesign provides a fresh set of clothes for Australia’s highest-selling men’s lifestyle magazine.

“January is the time when our readers like to revise their fitness and nutrition routines, their career goals, and even their wardrobe – so with that in mind, we thought we’d give ourselves an overhaul, too,” Cockerill said.

“The result is a magazine I’d like to think you’d be happy to read on the train, take to the gym or put on your coffee table. It’s not just a cosmetic change, though. Together with new content, the new design has opened up greater possibilities to tell stories and present useful information in an entertaining and engaging manner I’m sure our readers will respond to.”
