Metamucil brings back Nugget and Meta Mucil back for a video short

Metamucil’s has brought back the story of The Bachelor’s Nugget and contestant Meta Mucil in a where are they now short film, created by McCann Health.

The new ad is a sequel to the initial campaign, which unveiled the love story of a woman named Ms Meta Mucil and a man named Nugget, as it tells the story of Meta Mucil and Nugget’s now rocky relationship as Meta Mucil begins to train a new friend, Gutsy.

The three minute film, told from Nugget’s perspective, shows Meta Mucil training Gutsy as she fixes his “sloppy” motions and trains the “crap” out of him.

Nugget, feeling jealous of Meta Mucil and Gutsy, then goes on a mission to win back Meta Mucil’s attention.

Meta Mucil makes Gutsy and Nugget shake hands, become friends and “push past their differences”.

The tagline used at the end of the ad says “a natural way to stay regular and support a healthy gut”.

Kate Chisnall, associate creative director at McCann Health, said in a statement: “Despite bowel health and constipation being a sometimes delicate topic, who doesn’t love a good poo joke? After the success of episode one, we were excited to get the opportunity to work with P&G and push the creative into an even funnier episode.”

Andrew Crowe, brand manager at P&G Healthcare, ANZ said: “As a brand, we are passionate about improving the health and wellness of our consumers and we’re so poo-roud to drop this number two.

“By using humour as a way to communicate the hugely important topic of gut health and staying regular, we hope this helps to break through some of the clutter. It can be a difficult conversation to have, but by saying the unsayable in an irreverent and uniquely Australian way, we’ve been able to get into hearts, minds and guts of consumers around the country.”
