Mumbrella Awards 2020 entries are now open

Entry into the 2020 Mumbrella Awards, Australia and New Zealand’s largest media and marketing awards, is now open.

Entries are now open for the Mumbrella Awards 2020

This year there are 30 categories that cross people, teams, work, and ideas to celebrate the best in the industry. The categories have been carried over from 2019.

Mumbrella will again use an independent group of over 100 of the most senior industry leaders to judge the awards, including a full day of live judging on June 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.

Over 100 industry leaders will act as the independent jury for the Mumbrella Awards

The live judging requires shortlisted entrants to present their submission to the specific jury group deliberating over their category and gives the jury the chance to directly engage with the entrant and ask questions.

Those entering Creative Agency of the Year and Media Agency of the Year awards will have a judging panel visit their offices if they are shortlisted, no matter where they are located. Creative agencies will be visited on June 24 and 25, while media agencies will have their appointments on June 26.

Almost 1,000 people attended the Mumbrella Awards in 2019 at The Star in Sydney

In previous years this has seen the jury group attend agencies in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and even Auckland.

As in the previous two years, for transparency, Mumbrella may publish winning entries as they are submitted. Information shared during the live judging component at the Hilton Hotel will not be published.

Over 500 entries were received across the awards in 2019. The big winners included CHE Proximity, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Cummins & Partners and Special Group.

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne took out multiple awards in 2019

CHE Proximity’s Melbourne office won Creative Agency of the Year, and the group won the Mumbrella Award for Data-Driven Marketing while scoring three highly commended nods.

Cummins & Partners scooped Media Agency of the Year as well as Full Service Agency of the Year and Best Use of User Experience. It was highly commended in the Independent Agency of the Year category as well.

Special Group was crowned Independent Agency of the Year as well as being awarded Best Use of Real-Time Marketing and Ad Campaign of the Year, while Clemenger BBDO Melbourne managed four awards including the Mumbrella Award for Innovation.

The Mumbrella Awards will this year be held on July 30 at The Star instead of the usual late June date in previous years.
