Mumbrella Awards call for entries goes live
Mumbrella has launched its call for entries for the 2014 Mumbrella Awards.
In an industry first, finalists in every category will be judged in a face-to-face presentation to a jury.
New categories this year include:
- Content marketing strategy of the year, to recognise one of the fastest growing areas of the communications industry;
- Digital service company of the year, which is intended to reflect not only the many new arrivals into the world of programmatic trading but the many existing digital players;
- Pro bono campaign of the year. Launched with the backing of industry charity Un Ltd, this category recognises the best work by agencies of all types in support of good causes.
- Based on feedback from the industry, new agency of the year categories include recognition for experiential agency of the year, emerging agency of the year and promo marketing agency of the year.
- There is also a new regional category of APAC PR network of the year, which will sit alongside the existing categories of APAC media network of the year and APAC creative network of the year.
Categories being retired include post production house of the year and thinker of the year.
Entry period is up to Apr 30; entries close May 2. Which means practically the entry period is really up to Mar 31, or earlier? Esp in the categories where results are needed to be shown.
Hi Pascoe,
Good point on eligibility period, which tends to come up however one sets it.
My suggestion would be that if a new campaign goes into market in the final days, then to wait until next year. It will still be eligible so long as it wasn’t entered in the awards this year, and the campaign was still in market during the year being judged.
Cheers,
Tim – Mumbrella
