Myer retains DTDigital
DTDigital has retained the digital account of retailer Myer after a marathon review.
The news comes a month after Myer renewed its contract with DTDigital’s STW Group sibling agency Ogilvy for another three years.
Myer’s group GM of marketing and brand development Megan Foster told Mumbrella: “DTDigital was the best fit for Myer in supporting our move to a hybrid digital model – combining the creation of an internal team supported by an external agency.”
Myers has more 100 staff in marketing, including agency partners located in-house at the retailer’s Melbourne headquarters. “Due to the growth in digital, a good percentage of the teams are involved in digital executions,” she said.
The review began in December 2011.
Word on the agency street is that basically no one except Dt Digital were willing to comply with Myer’s demands.

wow, 12 months for a digital tender process? by the time they get around to actually implementing anything it’ll be redundant. says a lot about how Myer operate in this space and why online represents just 1% of their sales.
