NAB recruits mini legends dressed as AFL stars for its 2017 NAB Mini Legends campaign

NAB Mini Legends has finalised its latest campaign staring a mini Dustin Martin from Richmond, a mini Moana Hope from Collingwood AFLW, a mini Nic Naitanui from West Coast and a mini Eddie Betts from Adelaide.

In a ‘Mini Legends Draft’ campaign in June, children were asked to audition to be part of the ad by dressing up as their favourite AFL or AFLW star while playing football and submitting a video.

Created by Clemenger BBDO, the 45-second campaign shows the mini legends playing football in their local NAB AFL Auskick teams dressed as their favourite AFL and AFLW stars.

Michael Nearhos, NAB chief marketing officer, said in a statement: “We’re excited to be launching our next NAB Mini Legends campaign that captures NAB’s support of footy at all levels. Through our partnership, we back kids as they play their first game of Auskick right through to the big time, whether that be in the AFL or the AFLW.”

The campaign is set to roll out across print, digital, social and television.

Rich Williams, creative director at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, said: “The response was incredible. The campaign really brings to life everything that’s great about the game. We hope to continue to inspire the next generation of AFL and AFLW stars through this activity.”
