NCIS finale gives Ten ratings boost

Ten received a boost in ratings with the finale of US crime show NCIS, while Seven continued its strong Tuesday night performance, led by Packed to the Rafters.  

NCIS was the second most watched show for the night with 1.309m, up from 1.2m on Tuesday last week. The final episode of the season also provided a good lead in for Lie to Me, which attracted 1.068m, also up from last week, according to preliminary OzTam figures.

The success of NCIS has led to the launch of a spin-off programme, NCIS: Los Angeles, which Ten airs on Wednesday nights.

Overall, Seven led with a channel share of 30.3 percent, followed by Nine with 24.3 per cent. Ten recorded 23.6 per cent, which was up from last Tuesday’s 22.3 per cent.
