BWM has appointed Murray White as executive creative director for its Melbourne office.

White worked as the executive creative director / executive vice president and chief design officer at US independent agency Doner.

Before moving to the United States in 2009, White was the international creative director of Springer & Jacoby, Europe.

He left Australia more than a decade ago after studying marketing at RMIT and working as a copywriter at Mojo and Y&R Mattingly.

He will start in Melbourne at the start of next month. His new role will see White manage BWM Melbourne’s creative work with clients such as REA, Simplot, John West, Leggo’s, KMart and Brown Brothers.

BWM says the role of ECD was newly created for Murray White. It comes after the departure of Shaun Branagan to Ogilvy Sydney late last year. White will work alongside Melbourne MD Carl Ratcliff.

“I’m truly fortunate to have worked with so many incredible brands and brand leaders all over the world. After many years abroad though, the opportunity to move back home and work with Australia’s biggest independent agency was too good to pass up,” White said.
