New TABOO executive creative director announces first key appointments
Melbourne-based indie creative agency, TABOO Group, has announced two new key appointments.
On Thursday, the agency confirmed that Jacqui Walker will join as creative operations director, while Ryan Clayton will come on board as creative director.
Walker most recently worked as creative producer at Mirimar, while Clayton joins from Ogilvy, where he worked with major brands like AAMI, BMW, Metro Trains, and the ACCC.
The recruits are the first key appointments made by TABOO executive creative director, Charlotte Adorjan, who joined the agency in July.
“Jacqui and Ryan are both wonderful humans doing wonderful things in the world. I love that Jacqui is a passionate advocate for diversity in production, getting shit done in a beautifully progressive way and is really leading the charge. Ryan is an incredible mentor as Head of Award School and is the calmest creative I’ve ever met,” Adorjan said.

“Like a highly skilled, design-trained swan, he delivers beautiful, razor-sharp ideas while seemingly never breaking a sweat. He joins the department off the back of his new role as Chief Dad Officer to baby Ashton and I’m thrilled to offer flexible working to support that not-so-little side hustle.
“Both Jacqui and Ryan are helping to build my vision for a world class creative department full of world class humans.”
Walker and Clayton’s appointments are the latest in a string of additions for TABOO, which include former MullenLowe US executive Frannie Rhodes as managing partner, leading talent and operations, as well as Clemenger Group’s Kim Stoddart, as director of finance, and Jonathan Isaacs, as chairman.
