Nibble Edge opens 24-hour studio for global clients

Recently combined digital creative agency Nibble Edge has launched a 24-hour off-shore creative production studio to service its global clients.

The studio has a headcount of more than “30 multidisciplinary designers, developers, and producers” spread across two hubs in the Indian cities of Chennai and Bangalore, according to its founding director, Fergus Stoddart.

When speaking with Mumbrella, Stoddart named Aravindsamy Ashok as studio lead. A professional visual designer, Ashok’s most recent role was as a senior analyst at Omnicom Media Group in India.

Ashok’s job will cover overseeing the studio’s team and its output, with an overall focus on streamlining operations to meet the needs of Nibble Edge’s global clients in the Asia Pacific, North American and European regions.

Apart from serving international clients, Stoddart said the studio provides Australian brands with the benefit of “overnight delivery”.

“The 24-hour service was designed to give Australian brands overnight delivery – giving them more capacity/hrs to increase output,” Stoddart said.

“As we work as an extension of their team – we can now do finish work off over night that their internal teams have been working on. It increases capacity to deal with surges of demand.”

The studio was developed over five years.

“The demand for creative production is increasing – in house teams are not functioning as productively as clients would hope and so having a well oiled production studio and all the accountability that agency relationships bring [is a boon],” Stoddart said.

Founded over 20 years ago by Stoddart, Edge was a full-service creative, content and media agency working across different industries spanning finance, food and beverages, retail, education and health. Meanwhile, Nibble specialised in UX/UI design, web development, and creative production, and was founded over five years ago by Deepika Rodrigo and Dorian Simes.

Three months after merging, the agency reported rapid growth. It secured 11 major new clients and claimed it exceeded first-quarter targets by 300%.

Nibble Edge’s client roster contains 80 entities, including Raine and Horne, Costco, Allied Pinnacle, Australian Hearing, Challenger, Kwik Kopy, CBOE, Global X and CSR.

In January, it won the ANZ digital account of Unilever Food Solutions.

“We’ve had a cracking year – beat all our expectations, brought on some amazing new clients, revamped the team to fit to our new operating model, built on the studio offering, gone global, [and] defied the industry and economic woes,” Stoddart said.
