Nine and Seven in dead heat for the ratings week

After leading for much of the ratings week, Ten finished third with Seven and Nine taking the tape in a dead heat last week.

According to preliminary metro ratings from Oztam, Seven and Nine took a free to air share of 23.1% each. Ten was just behind on 21.9%.

However, in network share, the Nine Network won the week with Nine and Go amassing 26.2% to Seven and 7Two’s 26%.

In younger demographics, it was Ten’s week though. In 16-39 Ten pulled in 27.4% to Nine’s 23.3% to Seven’s 22.4%. In 25-54 Ten was on 25% to Nine’s 23.9% and Seven’s 22.6%.

For the ratings year (weeks 7-26 excluding Easter) to date, the Nine Network (28.5%) has a narrow lead over the Seven Network (28.1%) and the Ten Network (21.5%).

Seven will be hoping that the coming week will see the pendulum swing back in its direction.  Seven’s Dancing With The Stars returns at 6.30pm tonight, while Nine’s reliable ratings engine Underbelly concludes at 8.30pm. And Tuesday sees the return of Seven’s behemoth Packed To The Rafters.
