Nine launches financial advice website 9Saver.com.au
Nine has launched a new consumer finance site designed to help shoppers better manage their finances.
9Saver.com.au will aggregate the cost of living and shopping segments run across Nine News, Today, Today Extra, A Current Affair and 60 Minutes every week.
RevTech Media, the company behind One Big Switch and Fifty Up Club, will provide digital and technology services to the new site.
“In any given week we might have as many as 15 to 20 stories across Nine offering practical information to millions of Australians on how to save money on everyday household expenses,” said Darren Wick, Nine’s director of news and current affairs.
“9Saver will be a one-stop destination where consumers can find this information or learn more about the solutions, products and services they have heard about.”
In 2015, News Corp bought a minority stake in One Big Switch, one of the contributors to Nine’s new site.
News, Nine and One Big Switch received criticism from Media Watch over their relationship in 2012.

BE VERY CAREFUL FOLKS !!! You really need to sit down & analyse your own circumstances. Theses guys promise a huge discount but the devil really is in the detail. As confusing as it seems to be, I worked through my own electricity account and using their “33%” discount etc; I would have paid $200 a quarter MORE. I am a larger domestic power user because I live on a few acres and all of my water is pumped and I don’t have piped gas so my home is all electric. But I do also have solar. Without that, might have been much dearer still!!
