Nine to go daily with The Celebrity Apprentice
Nine is to strip The Celebrity Apprentice across weeknights in what is believed to be a world first for the franchise.
The Mark Bouris-hosted reality show – featuring the likes of Pauline Hanson, Max Markson, Julia Morris, Jason Coleman and Jesinta Campbell – goes to air from Monday October 24, the network has announced.
The Celebrity Apprentice will feature team challenges on Monday and Wednesday nights, with the boardroom showdown “You’re Fired” episodes featuring a contestant being evicted from the losing team on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Friday nights will see a behind-the-scenes show.
Filming of the show, which is being produced by Fremantle Media – has already reached the half way point.
With the celebrities participating in various challenges mainly around Sydney, the show has already gained a great deal of publicity.
The Apprentice fomat runs in more than 20 countries including big ratings hits in the UK and US.
Me thinks it’s time that the wise old folks who edit and update The Oxford Dictionary revisited their definition of the word celebrity. And fast.

This show will only work if each contestant is sent to find ‘a long weight’ and other hilarious apprentice jokes. (left handed screwdrivers, striped paint etc.)

I can’t wait for the series to start so that Nine can get rid of those horrible Capper in tight shorts ads.

Au contraire, Ted.
My (unbiased) spy on the set tells me that Julia Morris is very good.
Cheers,

Au contraire, Tim.
Julia Morris is without doubt the unfunniest woman in Australia. I have seen tumours funnier than her, and the rest of the cast are G-list at best. This show will be Nines Vietnam.

Marto – do you have a pulse? Julia Morris is Australia’s leading female comedian. You must be deaf, dumb and blind.

Seconded Tamie. To those people saying unkind things about Julia and the rest of the cast, you should know that they have raised thousands of dollars for charity from this show. So grow a brain and get a life.

Laura…..sorry but raising money for charity still doesn’t make Julia a funny comedian.
Tim…..I’ll be interested to see if Julia really is very good on the show. It would be a first for her.
Tamie…..Australia’s leading female comedian eh? Perhaps it says more about Australia’s female comedians.
