Sydney, Australia – Friday, 26th November 2010: ninemsn has announced the addition of six new Channel 9 programs to its FIXPlay.com.au free web TV service, further bolstering its already impressive offering of catch-up and back catalogue programmes.

FIXPlay’s new content includes catch-up TV from popular Channel 9 shows The Closer, Conan, Fringe, Random Acts of Kindness, The Enforcer and Shane Warne’s debut chat show Warnie. Episodes from each program are available to view at FIXPlay.com.au for four weeks following the free-to-air broadcast.

With the addition of these new programs Australians can now access more than 460 hours of catch-up and back-catalogue TV shows at FIXPlay.com.au, ninemsn’s long-play video destination.

ninemsn has served millions of long-form video streams since FIXPlay launched in April this year. The most popular catch-up show to date was Underbelly: The Golden Mile, which delivered a record 1.4 million streams for the season.

Andrew Hunter, Head of Network, ninemsn said: “We’ve seen a massive growth in the streaming of popular Channel 9 and third party content on FIXPlay as people are discovering they don’t need high-speed broadband to experience high quality, on demand.”

FIXPlay is powered by the latest Microsoft Silverlight Smooth Streaming technology to deliver the best available video experience for viewers, whatever their internet connection speed. Silverlight is a free and legal download available at FIXPlay.com.au

Current and back-catalogue content available on FIXPlay is sourced from Channel 9, GO! and GEM, as well as international distributors including BBC Worldwide, Warner Bros. and UK-based Digital Rights Group.

The new content is available now and can be accessed by visiting fixplay.com.au.
