CommBank, Freedom, Telstra and Toyota invest in The Block

Nine Network has secured four partners along with two sponsors for its renovation show The Block – which will return to TV screens next week.

The Nine Network is delighted to announce four partners and two sponsors have committed to the return of one of Australia’s landmark series, The Block 2010.

Backed by partners, Commonwealth Bank, Freedom, Telstra and Toyota Yaris, along with sponsors, Taubmans and Panasonic, Nine is set to welcome home The Block 2010 on Wednesday 22nd September at 7.30pm.

On the return of The Block, Nine’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Peter Wiltshire commented, “The Block 2010 is yet another sign of Nine returning to our heritage – we have a renewed commitment to producing outstanding local content and that in turn is bringing viewers back to the traditional home of Australian television.

We made a promise to deliver Australia’s most advertiser-friendly platform, and The Block is part of that commitment. It’s creative, flexible format delivers a fully integrated advertising vehicle for our clients. It made history back in 2003 and come mid-September,

we’re set to welcome back a program that was key in helping to make Nine Australia’s Home of Television”.

Nine’s sales team has been working with producers Julian Cress and David Barbour since March to ensure great exposure and seamless integration for The Block’s much-valued clients.

Online, ninemsn has developed one of its most comprehensive websites to date, complete with full episode catchups, exclusive video footage, renovating tips, blogs, room tours and photo galleries.

Set in Vaucluse, The Block 2010 sees four energetic couples take on one of the toughest but potentiallly most rewarding challenges they will ever face – a complete building renovation in eight weeks on just $80,000.

Get ready for action, drama and plenty of tears and laughter.
