Ninja Warrior tops entertainment as Nine wins Monday
Australian Ninja Warrior was Monday’s top-rating show among non-news programming, bringing in an average audience of 709,000 metro viewers for Nine.
That placed it just ahead of Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife, which, after premiering with 820,000 metro viewers on Sunday, fell to 697,000 metro viewers overnight.
On a national basis, Farmer Wants A Wife claimed the #1 spot in entertainment with 1.121 million viewers, ahead of Ninja Warrior’s 970,000.

In other entertainment programming, Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? brought in 657,000 metro viewers, as well as winning key advertising demos of 16-39 and 18-49. Meanwhile, MasterChef Australia had 626,000 metro viewers.
The #1 metro program on Monday was Seven News, which aired to 1.185 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News At 6.30 with 1.137 million, and Nine News with 1.108 million. Nine News managed to win the 25-54 demographic.
A 31.2% network share was enough for an easy nightly win for Nine, ahead of Seven with 25.9%, Ten with 20.9% and ABC with 15.4%.
Nine was also the #1 primary channel with a 21.1% share, while the top-rating multi-channel was 9Gem with a 4.9% share.
