No Aussie brands make the cut in YouGov’s 2024 ‘recommend rankings’
American beer giant Budweiser has taken the top spot in YouGov Australia’s Recommend Rankings for 2024, with a score of 90.0%.
The list reveals the brands with the best recommendation scores from current brand customers, according to BrandIndex, with luxury watch label Rolex claiming second place with 89.6%, followed by car manufacturer Toyota with 88.1%.
It is developed based on BrandIndex’s ‘recommend’ metric – the percentage of a brand’s customers who would recommend it to a friend or colleague between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024.
Air New Zealand followed shortly behind with 86.9%, just ahead of liquor brand Jack Daniel’s at 86.6%.
Following the top five came Moët & Chandon (86.5%), Guinness (86.5%), La Roche-Posay (86.2%), Heineken (85.9%), and Häagen-Dazs (85.7%).
YouGov’s BrandIndex also uncovered the brands with the most improved ‘recommendation score‘ over the past year, with Foxtel securing the top spot, with an increased score of +11.4%.
Next on the list was The Australian (+11%) and Victoria Bitter (+8.5%), followed by QBE Insurance (+7.8%), and Starbucks (+7.7%).
Online travel agency, Expedia also had an improved score of +7.5%. Following came Johnie Walker, Allianz, Pizza Hut, and Lenovo, all with a score of +7.4%.

Surely a lack of robust sample size here… Budweiser no # 1, followed by Rolex. I suspect this has been analysed on a very, very low sample/base?
