Nova appoints head of podcast partnerships
Nova has appointed Kim Kerton to the newly created role of head of podcast partnerships, the latest addition to its commercial leadership team.
Kerton will work within Nova’s branded entertainment division, Create, which handles podcast partnerships and integration. She rejoins Nova, after spending the last five years as a senior strategic consultant for Queensland Tourism, Colonial First State, Tourism Tasmania, and AGL. Prior to this, she headed up Create Sydney for Nova.
Her appointment follows that of digital strategy director Michelle Golding and digital business director, Rebecca Jeffrey in 2024.
Kate Murphy, NOVA’s director of commercial strategy said Kerton’s appointment “peaks to our intention to offer customers that same gold standard of access, influence and impact across our podcast content” as traditionally seen across radio.
“Kim is a unique talent,” Murphy continued, “an expert in both content and commercial podcasting, alongside significant experience in commercial brand integration.
“She knows intimately how to maximise the potential that our content, talent and audience represent for advertisers.”
Kerton said her new role “feels like the best of both worlds for me – being back at NOVA and getting to do what I love. As a podcaster, I understand the balancing act between creating conversations that connect with an audience and then building a meaningful role for brands within that.”
Nova recently expended its podcast slate, signing Schwartz Media’s 7am, Fear and Greed’s slate of shows, and NRL podcasts Backstage with Cooper & Matty Johns, and The Johns Family Podcast.
