Nova in music and news management moves
DMG’s radio group has made several new staff changes.
The announcement:
Denee Savoia has been promoted to News Director, Nova 969.
Denee started at Nova in 2003 as a journalism student doing work experience and was offered a job working as the traffic reporter for Merrick and Rosso. She went on to get a part-time role with the station then moved onto to full time reporting for Nova 969 until 2009 when she became the Drive Newsreader. At the end of last month (December 2010) Denee was promoted to News Director, Nova 969, taking over from Monique Dews, who has stepped back from the role to spend more time with her young family.
New Group Music Director – Nova Network
Toni Pipicelli has been promoted to Group Music Director for the Nova Network.Toni started her career at Nova 969 in 2001 as a Programming and Promotions Assistant. From 2003-2005 she was Assistant Music Director with Nova 969 (Sydney), from 2006-2008 Assistant Program Director at Nova 100 (Melbourne) and then Music Director at Nova 969 between 2009-2010 before moving into the Group Music Director Role this month.
New Assistant Music Director – Nova 969Kristine Pymont will be joining Nova 969 from mid February 2011 as Assistant Music Director. She was previously at Channel V. Kristine is taking over from Kristen Smith who left at the end of last year to move to Brisbane.
