Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel to broadcast live from New Zealand

The Nova Network’s drive show is heading on one of its renowned overseas jaunts, with Kate, Tim and Joel off test out the Trans-Tasman bubble in New Zealand.

It will be the trio’s first overseas trip since Joel Creasey replaced Marty Sheargold on the team, with Kate Ritchie and Tim Blackwell having previously broadcast from Las Vegas in 2016 and the UK in 2018.

Nova Entertainment is partnering with Tourism New Zealand for the trip, with the tourism body set to help Kate, Tim and Joel explore the country.

The trip is all about encouraging Australians to head across the ditch, and will highlight key NZ attractions including winery tours on Waiheke Island, a scenic flight to Auckland’s Sky Tower and more.

Blackwell said: “We’ve been dreaming about travelling for a while and we are not dreaming anymore. We love New Zealand – whale watching in Kaikoura, rafting in Hamilton, Waiheke Island – one of the most beautiful places on earth and skydiving in Taupo.”

Ritchie added: “It’s going to be awesome but I’m not skydiving, are we skydiving?”

Creasy said: “Yes that’s how we are arriving.”

After their days of sightseeing, with content to be share across the Kate, Tim and Joel socials, the trio will jump into a studio to broadcast live on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 May.

As part of the Tourism NZ partnership, Kate, Tim and Joel are giving away trips for listeners to visit destinations including Wellington, Hamilton and Waikato, Christchurch, Kaikoura and Nelson.
