Triple M Sydney has today announced a number of exciting new initiatives including drive show ‘Rush Hour’ that sees legendary NRL commentator Ray ‘Rabs’ Warren joining forces with commentary gun Dan Ginnane to drive Sydney home during the NRL Telstra Premiership Finals.

‘Rush Hour’ airs Monday to Thursday from 4-6pm for four weeks starting Monday 5 September. The dynamic duo of Rabs and Dan currently host the ever-popular ‘Dead Set Legends’ and they’ll bring their entertaining stories, respected opinion and plenty of guests to the afternoon for the latest in sport and the best in finals fever.

Ray ‘Rabs’ Warren said, “I have done everything else, so I thought why not give this a go as well, plus it will give me a chance to keep David Gyngell happy plugging Nine.”

The ‘Rush Hour’ drive show is set to compliment the ongoing success of Triple M’s breakfast show The Grill Team which has gone from strength to strength since Matty Johns joining Mark Geyer and Gus Worland on-air earlier this year.

Additionally ‘The Sunday Footy Panel’ has been developed specifically to run across the NRL Finals and will air from 10am-12pm on Sundays from 11 September until the Grand Final edition on 2 October.

Triple M will also deliver high profile on-site activity at major events across the 2011 NRL Finals Series such as a Rush Hour broadcast from the Rugby League One Community Awards at Sydney Town Hall, and The Men of League Ball at Doltone House.

Matty Johns will be live on-air for Triple M from the NRL Grand Final Fan Day when an expected 3000 fans converge on Tumbalong Park on 29 September.

The Grill Team Grand Final Edition will see the guys broadcast as the crowds flock in at ANZ Stadium in the lead up to the Grand Final on Sunday 2 October.

Jamie Angel said, “Triple M is the home of rock and sport and always delivers killer content, from Monday Night Football to the Friday Footy Panel, Roy & HG and Dead Set Legends. We’re embracing the NRL finals like never before with countless offerings for fans to complement their finals fever with the most informative and entertaining take on NRL’s finest moments for 2011. The addition of the legendary Rabs to drive with commentary guru Dan Ginnane is sure to be a treat for Sydney listeners.”
