OgilvyOne wins Carlton Football Club

Carlton Football Club has appointed OgilvyOne Melbourne as its marketing agency following a five-way pitch.

The announcement:

Melbourne, August 29, 2011: Melbourne-based OgilvyOne has been appointed as the marketing agency for Carlton Football Club (CFC), following a five-way pitch held in June.

The appointment, which is effective immediately, will see OgilvyOne work closely with CFC on various initiatives, including launching its 2012 Membership drive through television and radio advertisements, digital and ‘at the game’ activity.

On appointing OgilvyOne, Carlton CEO Greg Swann said the agency “blew them away” with their pitch-winning idea, which will remain largely unchanged as the core of its 2012 Membership campaign which launches after the AFL finals.

“It is an exciting time for Carlton, we are on the verge of another finals campaign and 2012 is going to be a big year for the Club,” Swann said.

“We needed a strong partner and a great idea to ensure we continue to build our profile and off-field position and believe we’ve found this in OgilvyOne. We are thrilled and looking forward to working with them.”

Carlton Football Club is currently the only AFL Club partnering with OgilvyOne and will receive a “fully-integrated, dynamic experience”, according to Brian Vella, Managing Director of OgilvyOne
Melbourne.

“This win was all about the fit; our love of membership-based marketing and through the line communications, and Carlton’s commitment to excellence in everything they do. We cannot wait to get started with what promises to be an exciting long term partnership”.

OgilvyOne Melbourne is part of STW Group, Australia’s leading marketing content and communications services group.
