Nyree Corby leaves Sapient Nitro after five months in new role
Sapient Nitro’s Nyree Corby, who founded digital agency The Topia Project which went into administration, has left the agency after just five months in the role.
At the time of her appointment as national business strategy director, Michael Branagh, Sapient Nitro national MD, told Mumbrella that Corby had been brought in to “help grow our business nationally“.
Corby founded The Topia Project in 2005. But in 2009 it was placed into voluntary administration with debts of more than $1m. Direct Media Consulting then bought The Topia Project name and its assets which Corby headed up prior to joining Sapient Nitro.
Branagh and Corby were not available for comment at the time this article was posted.
a glorified account director leaves a company … why is the ad media even reporting on this?

Very cute, but a girl struggling to be a woman.

Sad, bit of a shame. Know she’s a work-a-holic too. Best of luck to Nyree wherever she ends up.

Show of hands, who DIDN’T see this one coming?

David C – that’s a good question. Perhaps if Mumbrella bothered to get some current information and a comment from one of the parties involved, we’d know. Try AdNews.

Hi Watcher,
Thanks for your comments. At the time of writing the article, calls were made and messages left for both Nyree and the national MD Michael Branagh.
We are yet to hear back from them and that has now been reflected in the copy.
But please, by all means, do head over to AdNews.
Cheers,
Camille – Mumbrella
Hi H,
And just to respond to your question, at the time of calling the agency we were told that Ravi was still there, but have not been able to speak to Michael Branagh about this, or MD Stuart Poignand – who we also left a message for.
It appeared everyone was in a meeting that day.
Cheers,
Camille – Mumbrella
Hi Camille
Yes, Ravi is still at Sapient Nitro, recently sighted at Creative Social.
Surprise; he seems to look like his own person.
Why the assumption that their engagement with the agency would be interdependent?
Why not a do a bit of research and call him?
Agree with wow. What’s the big deal, why is this even interesting?
Also agree with Ninja Monkey.
Mumbrella’s persistence and pursuit of Ms Corby was beginning to make you look like the Who Magazine of the industry.
Have you tried rummaging her garbage yet?
It’s looking inevitable….
Agree with Watcher – try Ad News.

Yawn,
Ask someone who was owed money by Topia. It’s a matter of public record that there were plenty of them. I’m sure they’ll be interrested in the progress Ms Corby has made since.

Yawn,
LTL is correct. The many people who have worked with, dealt with, are owed money by, (edited by Mumbrella for legal reasons) ARE indeed interested in being kept abreast of her movements. Apart from anything else, we hope (edited by Mumbrella).

I’ll put my hand up as someone who was (and I wont say the word because it will undoubtedly edited) – so I’ll say – fornicated over by big promises and fancy paperwork from Topia. It almost cost us our entire company.

She stuffs up, get a better job, stuffs up with investors money, gets an even better job…this industry sucks!!!
I’m just glad I wasn’t an investor in her company.
